Amanda + Daniel | Day After Session

This is what the 'Day After Session' is all about. Two people in love who appreciate our fun and creative style of photography. The shoot is about letting a bit loose, no time constraints, incorporating a bit more of your personality and of course more time for great locations. And of course classic cars. But really, Daniel restores Mustang's and they had to bring this beauty out for part of the shoot. We went to a few locations in Carmel: The Carmel Monastery, Monastery Beach and even went down to Garrapata State Park to cap it off. Here are some of our many favorites:

Love this one shooting thru the steering wheel with a super wide lens.

Thanks again Amanda & Daniel.

B2B (Bride 2 Bride) | Jess

In thinking about what we wanted our blog to become, Theresa and I decided we wanted it to be more than the usual here is more images type of posts. Of course showing new work is important, but we didn't want it to end there. We want our blog to be a place for ideas as well, ideas about what you want your wedding to be like, the flowers, the dress, place settings, venues, and all the difficult decisions you have to make in the planning process. So here is our first Bride 2 Bride (or B2B) installment, real advice from someone who has been there, and researched and weighed the pros and cons of all the decisions. We are hoping all our brides in the future will want to participate and shed some light on different aspects of the planning process, or the day itself that will help someone else trying to make their wedding as beautiful as it can be.

"One of the hardest things for me and my fiancĂ© to do was to pick the site where we were getting married. We must have looked at over 20 places! Like most brides to be, I was constrained by finances but lucky enough to have some help. So, my advice would be to really decide what is most important to you and your fiancĂ©! For us it was having the people we loved there with us, in a setting that fit our “style” and once you have weighed your options then book it! And then keep booking! The earlier the better because the little details have a way of multiplying and the sooner you can check something off your list, the sooner you can move onto the next thing. Then, once it’s all in place, I got some great advice from many people that pretty much was of the same vein… take a moment—or two if you can spare it at your ceremony or reception---and step back with your husband and just look around you…look around at all the amazing friends and family who are surrounding the two of you, who have traveled from near and far to share this special occasion with you both and support and love you. It’s an amazing feeling and even if all the little details don’t fall into place (because they won’t) it doesn’t matter. Step back and soak it up!"

Shannon + Josh | Engaged in Love

There's something about Sunny, this irresistible pooch had to be part of the shoot. We started off in Carmel By-the-Sea, and then took off for a little hike around Point Lobos State Park. We already told Shannon and Josh how excited we are to photograph their wedding at The Down Town Club in Philadelphia next year. We love the contrast of their engagement photos on the rugged coast of CA, at Point Lobos State Park, with the old world elegance of downtown historic Philly. Here are some of our favorites:

Theresa loves this one!

Ari | Bun in the Oven

I was so happy to be able to photograph Ari when I did - she went into labor the next day! We tried a few things around her house, using some of the beautiful natural light. And one of their cat's just had to get into the action. Here are a few of my favorites:
