Sea Crest Beach hotel spring wedding, Cape Cod wedding photographer | the wedding of Ryan and Mike

As we're all desperately waiting for Spring to arrive, I thought this Cape Cod spring wedding would be a nice way for us all to daydream for a moment and to escape the ever-growing snow piles :) Imagine slightly overcast skies, the sun peaking out for a minute only to shy away from us the next. A cool breeze rustles through the Cape Cod dune grass. And two people in love come together at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel to vow their love for each other in front of their family and friends. Not a whole lot more beautiful than that in the entire world. There were smiles, tears, laughter, bare feet in the sand and one hell of a dance party. Thank you Ryan and Mike for including us in your special day. Enjoy!

Pico Ski adventure | Just for kicks...

Had a great time over the weekend up in Killington, VT at Pico mountain. It was our first time skiing this season so excuse the photos taken with my Samsung phone, I wasn't quite confident enough to break out the real camera...yet. So much fun hanging out with new friends, chowing down on good food and the only complaint is learning the hard way that the Mazda CX5 sucks in the snow without snow tires. Live and learn :) I guess we have to embrace the 'snowpocalypse' for a little while longer.

Zukas Hilltop Barn Spring wedding, Boston wedding photographer | the wedding of Anne and Adam

Here in the Northeast we're 'enjoying' epic proportions of snow outside so one way I'm coping (aka not going insane) is to focus on Spring. And what's better than a beautiful Spring wedding in Massachusetts? Well, not a whole lot in the wedding world and here's a gorgeous day from one of our favorite venues to photograph at, Zukas Hilltop Barn. Anne and Adam decided they wanted the first time seeing each other on the wedding day to be a bit special, so we helped them plan a private first look. A lot of couples go back and forth on the first look idea, but for Anne and Adam they were a little nervous. Not about seeing each other exactly, but about being the center of attention for their family and friends. So the first look provided a special way for them to spend time with each other before all the craziness started, and to be able to say to each other, 'we're in this together.' And on the practical side of wedding planning we were also able to get all the bridal party and family formal photographs all wrapped up before the ceremony (pretty sweet if you want to spend time at the cocktail hour). Enjoy a few of favorites and remember Spring is coming, just maybe not until June...
