InterContinental Boston Wedding | Boston wedding photographers

InterContinental Boston Wedding | Boston wedding photographers

We shot this wedding at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston a while back but loved so many of the images we had to share.  More and more of our couples are incorporating different cultural elements into their day and it's just one way to tell more of their personal story.  Which of course we can't get enough of.  Erica and Young decided they wanted to do a traditional tea ceremony, or Paebaek ceremony, prior to their western ceremony.  We really wanted to document this symbol of their two cultures and two families coming together so we worked with them on their schedule to make it possible.  Take a look at some of our favorites (click any of the images to see them larger):

Venue: InterContinental Boston
Florist: Joanne Winters / Winterfest
DJ: Chip McConney, Nightshift Entertainment
Invitations: Mary-Beth Rose
Hair & Mackup: I Do On-site Hair and Face

Yes, the bridal party had an amazing dance they choreographed - it pretty much rocked!
Love this sweet moment during a dance.

Bridal Shoes | The Villa Wedding

Bridal Shoes | The Villa Wedding

Blue Skies Meet Blue Heels

We had this wedding at The Villa in East Bridgewater which is one of the amazing Saphire Event Group's properties. My favorite thing to see when I start photographing the ladies are all the shoes. Especially if they are fun colors! If you are looking to throw some pop into your outfit, bridesmaid or bride alike, a colored pump is the way to go. Blue was the calling card for these beautiful bridesmaids. I know they will get good use out of these awesome heels after the wedding day is gone.

Wear colored pumps, it is the best way to turn a simple outfit into a fashion statement. Buy some exciting shoes if you’re a bride, bridesmaid, or just a guest at a wedding. You will get to wear them again, and you will love it, I promise. (Unless they are uncomfortable, I take no responsibility in that case.)

Here are some ideas for how to re-purpose fancy fun heels. Little black dress with heels that have a bright color can change the whole look of the outfit without changing the outfit, dress up the black dress with red heels and a red purse. Or take simple (insert color here) t-shirt jeans and sneakers; trade the sneaks for a pair of fun (insert color here) heels and BOOM! You’ve got a hot outfit ready for the movies or dancing. Think at the office, you’ve got your standard pencil skirt and blouse on. Keep the fun heels under the desk, if a client pops in and the heels feel too fun, swap them for some conservative heels (also under the desk, did I mention that under my desk looks like an elf took up shop to help the cobbler through the holidays?).

Check out the fabulous heels from this perfect wedding day and if you're thinking about wearing a cute pair of shoes on your wedding, tell me all about them!
