Every so often you run across a person with a serious sense of dedication, conviction and belief - and in rare cases it's all to help others. My friend Matt, has an interesting story of this sort of dedication and service to others that has led him to be one of the Ministers at the Eliot Church in my hometown of Natick, MA. He is in the process of competing for an elite publishing opportunity for his book, Giving Christianity Back to Jesus. We are glad he thought of us when he needed a promotional video and a few headshots for the competition and the launch of his new website. Now take a look:
Or click here to see it large.
And go here to vote for Matt to make it into Round 2 of the Publishing Competition.
Best of luck Matt!!

It's been a while...
since I really injured myself. I guess I always considered myself to be pretty lucky when it came to my health, especially the last six years or so. I've moved cross country and back, camped out in some pretty remote locations, found a scorpion under my bed once, hiked in some rather treacherous terrains, ran in a marathon and have always walked away unscathed. Then somehow I managed to dislocate my right shoulder screwing around playing basketball with some buddies. I made them give me the x-rays because, you know, x-rays are cool. Check out the before and after from the night in the ER:
Don't worry - it felt the world better once they popped it back in and the road to recovery is smooth sailing.

Advice for Future Brides | B2B (Bride to Bride)
A big thanks to Laura for being the second contributor to our ongoing advice feature, Bride 2 Bride. Take it away:
"There are so many things to keep in mind when planning your wedding, but something that I found made life easier is to have flexibility with your vision for your wedding day. It is much easier to work with vendors when things aren't written in stone, for example, maybe your florist will have a great idea for a type of flower that you didn't originally have in mind, and it ends up fitting in perfectly with your color scheme. I found that it reduces stress and is easier to be friendly to your budget when there is room to revise your vision as planning progresses. Also, if you're having trouble with ideas in the first place, there are so many wedding shows on TV that are a great source of inspiration and also to see what works and what doesn't!
Also, even though this bit of advice is in most wedding magazines and other wedding planning resources, I found it to be important enough to emphasize again - focus your budget on the things that are really important to you for your wedding day (for us it was food and photography). The comments we keep hearing from our guests (even 6 months later!) are how awesome food was at our wedding and how much they love the slideshow of our day that Theresa put together for us. It's easy to get caught up in the details - I'm pretty sure no one remembers the table numbers, which I agonized over for far too long… (luckily they weren't much of an impact on the budget, but had a way bigger impact on my free time than I ever would have thought was possible)!"

Lake Tahoe Destination Wedding | Squaw Valley USA Ski Resort
Squaw Valley USA | Lake Tahoe Wedding, CA
Heidi + Glen | 3.6.2010
There are those days when all the perfect elements come together - and March 6th, 2010 at Heidi & Glen's wedding was one of them. Fabulous and fun people, amazing locations, gorgeous clouds, a little snow showers, the perfect light, a reception at 8,200 ft above sea level and of course 2 people in love and not afraid to show it. We know how lucky we are to play a small part in your day and thank you again for having us. Now check out our favorites:
Love this shot as the light is so delicately splashing thru Heidi's veil.
What's a winter wedding without a snowball fight?
The reception at High Camp at Squaw Valley.
And they wouldn't be real hard core snow fans if they didn't ski down the last night run in their suits and wedding dress. Love it!!
Venue: Squaw Valley Ski Resort
Band: Silver Strings
