West Point Inn Adventure | The Inn at Mt. Tamalpais

If you're ever looking for a quick get away-from-it-all type of place definitely check out West Point Inn.  It's part of Mt. Tamalpais State Park in Marin County, CA.  Gorgeous, rustic little place, with a main house and a bunch of small cabins (no heat, no electricity) and perhaps the most breath-taking view north of San Francisco.  I think we lucked out with some pretty clouds and sun, but that's just me.  We hiked up to the cabins only a few miles, which was good because you have to bring in all your food and supplies, but once you get up there it opens up to an almost complete 180 degree view (see the panoramic below that only would do it justice if it was printed wall size).  Great place for a retreat or just to step back from everything for a couple of days.  We spent a few hours exploring, making a big feast in the main house and snapping some photos along the way (of course).  Take a look:
