Fun Friday | It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

To expand your skills it's always a good challenge to give yourself personal assignments. And ever since Theresa's dad got us into home brewing I thought it would be fun to photograph some beverages, well beer anyway. I was tempted to use our home brew, we made an Irish red ale which turned out pretty kick-ass for our first attempt, but I decided against it because I knew I would be wasting beer with a few tricks to make the images look their best. And I give a serious nod to the photographers who photograph beverages all the time, it's not easy!  So on this Fun Friday installment, enjoy and get thirsty!

With my mom's family being from Waltham I have been by Gore Place in Waltham many times over the years.  But I didn't know they did weddings until Alexis and Mike found us through our profile on The Knot. So that worked out pretty well! And with an early Spring wedding we didn't get a chance to meet them before the wedding day. However, as soon as we did meet we knew the day would be super relaxed, casual and a ton of fun as well. They had family in from Hawaii that brought some personal touches and unique customs to the day.  Gore Place is an amazing historic property and for wedding photography it was perfect to get photos inside the mansion and then in the barn during the reception.  Both locations provided a nice contrast to the imagery.  Take a look at a few of our favorites here (and as always click on any image to see it a little larger):

Andrea and Mark choose The Pinehills Golf Club for their wedding last spring and we ended up with an amazing day. This was our first time photographing a wedding at Pinehills in Plymouth and we had such a great experience we can't wait to work their again.  The staff rocked, they only host one wedding per day and the golf course makes for an amazing backdrop for the photography (as you can see below).  Take a look at a few of our favorites from the day. And yes we're thinking if we post enough sunny, gorgeous day weddings Spring will come faster.
