Santa Lucia Preserve Equestrian Center

All these images stemmed from something one of our brides said in passing a while back, 'oh, I'd love to have some photos of me and my horse.' So of course we're up for something like that but the timing didn't present itself for many, many months. But when it did, it ended up being a 2 day shoot at the breath-taking Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel, CA. The first day we were contract by the Santa Lucia Preserve Equestrian Center to create some imagery for their marketing department and the second day was our fun bridal shoot. See some of the images from the bridal shoot here on our blog. Such a fun and amazing opportunity for us to be in a truly beautiful place and get to create photographs at the same time.

The equestrian center really wanted to focus on the stables, member's leaning new techniques, trail rides, herding and of course the youth program. So it was a packed day for sure. We didn't have a lot of specific shots in mind, nothing predetermined, which was nice so we could go in with open minds. Free to see things naturally and create little scenes from there. Here's a few of our favorites from the first part of this day's shoot:

We'll post the 2nd part of the day soon! Thanks for looking.
