CA winery engagement shoot, Sycamore Creek Vineyards

I love it when I can make our clients engagement photos so personal to them. I think that makes all the difference, letting them choose a location they have a connection with so years down the road they can look back and appreciate the significance of that time in their relationship. That's really what it's all about (well that and maybe the hokey-pokey).

But on to Kristen and Steve's engagement session at the Sycamore Creek Vineyard and Winery in Morgan Hill, CA. I had never been to Sycamore Creek before the shoot but it was one of Kristen and Steve's favorite wineries so I knew we would make some magic happen. And everyone at Sycamore Creek was super nice about letting us have the run of the place to get the photos we wanted. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality. Our only regret is they closed the tasting room during our shoot and we couldn't even try their wine, next time for sure!

I actually photographed Kristen's brother's wedding out in Lake Tahoe a few years back so we were really excited to be able to work with their family again. Kristen and Steve were so fun to work with and really up for all our ideas which made our time with them seem to fly by. We are really looking forward to shooting their wedding in Carmel in June at the amazing Quail Lodge and Golf Club. Such a gorgeous Carmel wedding venue, oak trees, rolling hills, and just everything you would expect from Carmel (and yes I miss spending time there in case you couldn't tell). Here are a few favorites. Enjoy!
