It's not every weekend that I get to fly out to California to photograph a wedding. So when a mutual friend referred me to Brittany and Ryan I couldn't have been more psyched. I knew they were both fun loving characters and that the wedding they planned would be nothing if not unique and true to their personalities. You can tell right away they are not your 'traditional' bride and groom as Brittany selected an amazing red dress by
WToo for the wedding day. I loved the way it contrasted against the Berkeley and Oakland landscape, where they were getting ready and for the ceremony and reception. The historic
Claremont Hotel in Berkeley was our location for getting ready, their first look and some fun portraits and bridal party photographs. When then headed down the road to Oakland to the rustic woodsy venue that is the Sequoia Lodge. These spots perfectly matched their tastes for things high end and modern with their love for the outdoors. And it was nothing but amazing for me to photograph, so I couldn't complain one bit! This day was such a blast and one I will truly remember. Thanks again! Enjoy some favorites:
