Part II.

Back with Part II of Sheila and Dan's Playa del Carmen destination wedding in Mexico.  After the family formals and a little cocktail hour time we had a few minutes to make some cool images of Sheila and Dan around the resort. We're were having too much fun just exploring the different angles and looking for good light.  Really such a cool spot and a great couple.  Enough said. Enjoy Part II.

Part I.

When a couple asks you to document their wedding day it's really a special thing. They are essentially entrusting you with photographing and capturing what will one day, down the road, be their memories of the wedding day.  So it's kinda a big deal.  Whether it's a Boston wedding, a wedding somewhere here in New England, or a California wedding, we know the stakes are high. Add to that the experience of traveling to a foreign country, to Playa del Carmen in Mexico, and the challenges of working in another country and you have the wedding of Sheila and Dan. 

First off, two amazing people. They are the type of couple people just want to hang out with because you know you'll be smiling and having a great time. They chose the beach resort of Gran Porto Real in Playa del Carmen as the backdrop for their wedding celebration. And yes, it was amazing (probably going to use that word a lot so be prepared). Theresa had been to Mexico a few times and this was my first trip, so we had slightly difference expectations going in. But all that aside we really wanted to not only capture the mood, feeling and emotions of the wedding weekend celebration but also to capture a sense of the place.  The architecture, variety of colors, abstract details, the subtle variations in the ocean, really all of it. A few of those photographs are here. Pretty sure we did the weekend justice. So to Part I - enjoy.
