For the second year in a row Theresa and I volunteered for the annual Boston Brain Tumor Ride put together by the National Brain Tumor Society.  It's been a decade since my Dad passed away from a very aggressive brain tumor, and my Mom's cancer has been in remission for a number of months now.  So you can see this organization and their mission to raise awareness and raise money to fight brain tumors is a cause we find truly significant.

We woke up early to severe rain, but by some miracle from the time we arrived at the ride in Waltham until the moment the last award was given out, it held off.  Spirits were high and all the generous people were out to have a good time for a great cause.  One of the teams, Team Bunny, had raised an amazing $250,000 in only 5 or so years.  Crazy impressive!  Please find more information about these causes here:

Memorial Day | Veteran's Association | Bees

When I received a call from a friend saying his dad needed a few photos taken I replied why not. And how often do you get to stand around with your camera while hundreds of bees fly around you? As it turns out my friend's father, a veteran himself, is helping out the Veteran's Association, by keeping bees and making honey. So when I arrived in shorts and a t-shirt and he was fully covered up - well you can understand I was slightly hesitant....Take a look at a few of my favorites:

Harvard Art Museum Lecture | Event Photography in Boston

It was exciting for us to be hired by the American Friends of Chartres to photograph a lecture at the Harvard Art Museum just this past Wednesday night. Patrice Calvel, who is the Architect in Chief of the Historic Monuments in France, led the lecture about past and current restoration projects at the cathedral of Nôtre-Dame de Chartres. It's hard to comprehend how much work and meticulous detail goes into the restoration of the stained glass at the cathedral, but the results are breath-taking. Now take a look:

A Little Help for a Friend | Headshots & Promotional Video

Every so often you run across a person with a serious sense of dedication, conviction and belief - and in rare cases it's all to help others. My friend Matt, has an interesting story of this sort of dedication and service to others that has led him to be one of the Ministers at the Eliot Church in my hometown of Natick, MA. He is in the process of competing for an elite publishing opportunity for his book, Giving Christianity Back to Jesus. We are glad he thought of us when he needed a promotional video and a few headshots for the competition and the launch of his new website. Now take a look:
