Well it's taken me a few months during the slower winter season but I'm excited to be able to share the complete collection of images from my recent Peru trip.

Peru travel and hiking the Inca Trail

If you've ever wanted to travel to Peru or dreamed of hiking the Inca trail, I highly recommend it! It has absolutely given me the travel bug and I can't wait for the next adventure. The elevation in some of the area is definitely challenging, especially hiking the Inca Trail, but all worth it for the experience and views. I found the Peruvian people super welcoming and friendly, the food amazing and the local culture so full of photographic possibilities. A few images are already available to buy as fine art prints so check that out as well if you fall in love with anything.

Finally had a bit of a breather and was able to edit a bunch of new fine art and travel work. New images from Peru, Yosemite, Canada, Big Sur, New England and other locations are finally up on my site and available to purchase as prints :)

Photo Adventure | Back from Canada

So I'm finally back from what ended up being a couple of weeks driving around the Northeastern part of Canada. See the map below for the general route I settled on. I've had some people ask why did I choose that location of all the places to go? Well, kind of on a whim. I heard some interesting things about St. John's in Newfoundland and then I realized Cape Spear, about 20 minutes from St. John's, is the most Eastern point in North American and that sealed the deal for a destination. A little research helped me get inspired to check out 4 of Canada's National Parks as well. So amazing to be on the road, travel around, hike, camp, take in sunrises and sunsets and get a flavor of another part of the world. Really planted the travel bug in me again! I was blessed with beautiful days, warm temps, and gorgeous clouds. I'll be posting a new image from my trip every day on my Instagram account so if you're not following me and you're interested to see some great images, take a look:

One from the road | Gros Morne National Park

While I have an actual internet connection for the next day or so I thought it would be a good time to post a quick favorite from this Canada road trip I'm currently on. Gros Morne National Park in Canada is on the island of Newfoundland and it has a few remarkable views. However, being on the coast, in August, it also has some serious fog. It was actually pretty dismal and rainy all day and I was waiting and hoping the sky would do something or the sun would break through for even an instant. Maybe I do have a little good luck left as when I was driving by this scene the moment I was waiting for began to take shape. I pulled over at the first available spot, grabbed my camera and make a handful of frames before the clouds took over once again and the magic was gone. More from Canada to come soon, truly some beautiful country up here :)

Yosemite National Park photography, part I | Fun Friday

So for this Fun Friday post we wanted to share a little sneak peak of our time in Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago. If you haven't been to Yosemite we highly recommend it. It's truly one of the most beautiful parks in the U.S. we've been lucky enough to visit. This time of year is really nice to avoid the crowds and we were blessed with a snow-storm two days before we arrived so all of Yosemite valley was blanketed in fresh powder. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

The beauty in so many of these is in the details. Can't wait to finish the Yosemite book we're working on and then print some big!
