Well it's taken me a few months during the slower winter season but I'm excited to be able to share the complete collection of images from my recent Peru trip.

Peru travel and hiking the Inca Trail

If you've ever wanted to travel to Peru or dreamed of hiking the Inca trail, I highly recommend it! It has absolutely given me the travel bug and I can't wait for the next adventure. The elevation in some of the area is definitely challenging, especially hiking the Inca Trail, but all worth it for the experience and views. I found the Peruvian people super welcoming and friendly, the food amazing and the local culture so full of photographic possibilities. A few images are already available to buy as fine art prints so check that out as well if you fall in love with anything.

Fun Friday | Kitchen Renovations

Haven't done a Fun Friday post for a while, so if you're looking for something photography related go ahead and skip right over this one :) No hard feelings, I promise. This project is a good 5 years in the making and I'm so psyched right now to be renovating the kitchen and dining space in my house. I joke with everyone I could probably wait and maybe the 80s orange countertops would come back in style but I can't hold out for that. Not going to happen. Here's the, more or less, before photos. Excuse the mess as I had already starting tearing things apart but the time I thought to take photos. General plan is new windows, new door, new floor, paint some color on the walls (see some choices I'm deciding between below), all new moldings, paint the cabinets, new lighting (some already installed), and them I'm planning on building a few custom pieces as well. We'll see how all that goes...wish me luck!! Happy Friday.

A fall walk in the woods

I feel truly grateful to have this in my daily life. To closely observe the changing of the seasons. To breathe deeply and be reinvigorated and calmed by it...even as Luna pulls me forward, faster and faster. Enjoy and have a great weekend :)

Fun Friday | Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelpha

Haven't posted a Fun Friday for a while so I thought I would share this collection of images I made while visiting Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. It's the oldest prison in the U.S. and it's much more haunting than the images can even convey. And if that's not enough they do a haunted house if you're ever in Philly in October...I think I'll pass on that one. Enjoy these just for fun and have a great weekend :)
