Loon Mountain Spring wedding | Nicole and Ryan

This was my first time photographing a wedding at Loon Mountain and I am hooked! Why? Well look at the first photo below, absolutely breath-taking. If you love the rustic, outdoorsy, mountain vibe then this is the wedding venue for you. And that's exactly why Nicole and Ryan selected it for their ceremony and reception. Not to mention it's one of their favorite places to go in the winter and where they had their first date. So truly, a very meaningful spot for them.

There are not many spots in New England where your wedding guests will get to take a gondola up to the ceremony location! So it becomes a real experience for everyone, and the stunning view from the top makes it all worth it. I couldn't have asked for anything better in terms of photography and was blessed again with the perfect clouds. Nicole and Ryan were so sweet together and simply the nicest people. I loved getting to know them and documenting all their family and friends get crazy on the dance floor :) Enjoy some favorites from the day.

Woodstock New York intimate backyard wedding | Gillian and Chris

When Chris emailed me out of the blue I was really excited and humbled that he was interested in me photographing his wedding. And a little nervous I guess...as Chris is a very accomplished photographer himself and professor of photography at the University of Alabama. So no pressure, right? We met years ago at the New England School of Photography and hit it off because of our similar interests and aesthetic at the time. So I was psyched to hear about the plans he and his fiance Gillian were making for their wedding in Woodstock NY. They found this gorgeous property for the wedding venue and pretty much planned everything themselves, no easy task while living in Alabama. We couldn't have been luckier with the weather, as the forecast was calling for rain which didn't end up happening until later in the evening (see kick-ass photo towards the bottom of the post). Truly it was a beautiful and heartfelt day. So many wonderfully emotional and real moments, lovely to be a part of their wedding day. Enjoy a few favorites :)

Chris is also very musically talented and surprised Gillian, and everyone else, by singing a few songs with the band. He crushed it :)
